Richard A. Nori, 80, of Bonita Springs, died August 21, 2007. Born in Yonkers,
NY, he had been a resident of Bonita Springs for 15 years coming from
Cliffside Park, NJ. Mr. Nori served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked
construction in Tarrytown, NY for many years as well as working as a salesman
for Raynor Office Furniture. Locally, he was employed by the Ft. Myers/Naples
Greyhound Track, as a teller supervisor. Richard was a member of the
American Legion and VFW. He also enjoyed golf and storytelling.
Survivors include his loving wife; Helen M. Nori, of Bonita Springs; his children, Donna (Steven) Nurre of Riverside, CA, Robert Nori of Woodlands, CA and Anthony (Nancy) Nori of Williamsville, NY; stepdaughter, Susan Turner of Pompano Beach, FL; sister, Bessie D'Anna of Yonkers, NY; grandchildren, Louis, Victoria and Andrew Nurre, Robert jr., Shawn, Matthew and Michael Nori, Cassia. Roxas and Daria Charles; great-grandchildren, Mnrasli and Anthony Charles; niece, Diane Grossman; and nephew, Jay D'Anna.
He was predeceased by a son, Richard Nori Jr.; and stepdaug"nter, Barbara Thompson.
Friends will be received Thursday, (TODAY) August 23, 2007 from 7.00 to 9:00 p.m. at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, August 241, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs. Interment will be private.
