1999 -- TO ALL SHIPMATES AND FAMILIES.
First, let me say thank you to the people that sent me envelopes. However, 492 newsletters went out and out of that, 22 came back with no forwarding address and 52 people sent me envelopes back. It's a start, but where's the rest of you?
Many of you sent me checks for one reason or another. Those checks were forwarded to Jules Fryoux, Uor Treasurer. Also, thank you to C.W. Monaghan for your donation.
Dues in the amount of $15.00 are due now as we will need the money for the next reunion in October. Make your check payable to C.P. Cecil, as we are now incorporated and forward to Jules Fryoux, 5236 Floynell, Baton Rouge, LA 70809-3193.
Jules Fryoux and Bruce Brossard are our hosts for the October reunion. Plans are just about set. Also, start thinking of our Friday night auction. Bring a new unusd item and money to bid with. We had a lot of fun last year with Warren Brant as our great auctioneer.
Something else we did last year was a 50/50 raffle. Steve Ferraro was our winner of about $150.00 I think. And Steve, Little Bear is doing fine.
Many of you sent me information to pass on. Keven and Robyn McCracken are grandparents (2nd time) =- a boy - Gage Michael - February 26, 1999. Jim Ellsworth recently found Charles Hill of Senatobia, MS. Ed Crowley ET1 58-60 is looking for crew members. Contact him at 36 Tucker Aveenue, Marlboro, MA 01752.
Please say a prayer for our crew members who have passed on: Frank Nolfi, September 1998, Clifton Sparrow, November 1998, and L.C. Guinn, June 1998. Also for those who have been ill: Sharon Harold, Robert Rosenburg and Mary Ann Fryoux.
